The other day I had the opportunity, thanks to People Style Watch to attend the Simply Stylist Fashion & Beauty Conference. It was held here in NY at the W Hotel (oooo fancy right?!?!?!)So naturally I had to find something to wear so I can show up & show. We’ll get into that in my next post. But back to the Conference. Simply Stylist was started by Sarah Boyd (who was fabulous at 7 months pregnant) as a way to bring together those in the beauty & fashion industry and those looking to get into the beauty & fashion industry.
It was a really really really informative day. I loved that while our focus was fashion & beauty a lot of the information and affirmation can be geared toward any blogging topic & life in general. I also enjoyed the fact that the panel featured more than just bloggers. We heard from Youtubers, former Pagent queens, media personalities, and entrepreneurs. Each of that had a story that inspired every attendee
The 1st Keynote speaker Olivia Culpo Moderated by Catt Sadler of E News.
June Ambrose was one of the Keynote speakers and she was just amazing. She has so much experience in the industry and is still so humble, fun & about her business. She so authentically herself that you just want to love her. I think one of my favorite quotes from her was “The only autograph I’ve ever wanted was on a check” I’m telling you I ’bout done fell out my chair. That is the exact reason why I love her.

The Brand room. All the Sponsoring brands had booths for use to paruse. The Glam App was giving manicures, hair & make up touch ups. ShopStyle offered some great tips to monetize your blog as well as a juice bar. Dove was had a whole interactive area; a prize wheel & photoshoot area. There were back massages, a fashion illustrator, and so much more.

My post doesn’t even begin to do this event justice. I really had an amazing time and walked away with such inspiration and a comfort with my blog. This is why I love going to events like Simply Stylist because the day really is all about positivity and us as bloggers, vloggers, content creators have to stick together and be willing to uplift each other.
