You ever find a maxi dress that you just fall in love with? That’s me with this smocked maxi dress from City Chic. I tried it on while at Gwynnie Bee and fell completely in love with it and knew it had to come home with me. Maxi dresses aren’t just for the spring or summer. A good maxi dress can most certainly be worn in the cooler months. It’s all about how you style it and you can never go wrong.
As I said I first tried on this city chic dress while on set with Gwynnie Bee. I was immediately in love with it. It fits well and can be dressed up or dressed down. For this look, I opted for a more rocker chic look. Which I’m 100% here for.
I was so in love with the fact that this dress had a split in. But don’t be fooled, it took a lot of shots to get this one shot lol. The split doesn’t show a lot of leg unless the wind is blowing or if you’re like me, holding the dress open. But you al know me, I can’t resist a dress that shows a little leg.
On me, this city chic maxi dress isn’t as long as I would have liked. But honestly,I’m getting used to wearing maxi dresses that don’t touch the ground. I’m actually like that I can wear my boots with this dress and they’re able to be seen. I actually just realized that this is currently a dressed. Wearing high boots with a maxi dress. I think I nailed it. What do you think?
I paired this dress with my current favorite boots the daisy over the knee boots from fashion to figure. I talk all about the fit so check that out. If you’re looking for more over the knee boots, check out my Wide Calf Over the Knee Boot post. 14 different styles just for you.
This clutch I bought from fashion to figure like 3 years ago. It’s one of those clutches you pull out randomly for a little bit of extra pop with your look. Sometimes you have to remind people to not kill your vibe.
Happy shopping loves. Be sure to check out Gwynnie Bee’s website to see what new arrivals they have. If you haven’t signed up for your free trial. Then do so NOW. You’ll thank me later! See you in my next post.
