You ever have a look that you just fall in love with just because? I wore this look to my first event at Full Figured Fashion Week 2017. It was hot and I wanted a dress that was breathable and easy. This Jessica Howard dress came in my most recent Gwynnie Bee Box and I knew this would be perfect to wear out for a summer event. To complete this look I paired them with my new Vince Camuto Mules. I’ve bene wanting to get in on this mule trend, and these were a perfect option to do just that. Check out below how to style a chambray dress.
If you follow me on Instagram, you should remember that I posted this dress one day while trying it on at Gwynnie Bee. I was obsessed with it then and I immediately added it to my GB closet. So when I got the email that it was coming in my box, I started planning my outfit. Finally our summer weather has shown up here in NY/NJ, and dresses are in full affect.
I love the embroidered detailing along the bottom. The off the shoulder portion of the dress, honestly isn’t as annoying as some other off the shoulder tops or dresses. I didn’t have to constantly fix it or adjust it, which I’m all about. If I’m moving around NY, the last thing I want to do is constantly adjust my dress.

As for my shoes, I’m 1000% in love with. I didn’t think I would fall for this mule trend, but it got me. I found these amazing Vince Camuto Mules while cruising through Amazon. I was a little hesitant to buy them, but when I saw they had my size, oh! I couldn’t pass them up. The first few minutes wearing them, they were a bit tight, but as took pictures and walked around with them on, they contoured to my foot perfectly.
Online they look brown, but in person they are more of a greyish taupe, which made me love them even more. They are also available in black if you want a more basic option! To add a little bit of detail, I stopped by Charming Charlies because I knew I really wanted an anklet. Seeing as how with mules don’t cover the ankle, I thought an anklet would definitely draw the eye to the shoe. And it definitely did. #win!
There you have it loves, how to style a chambray dress. Summer is here and I couldn’t be more excited. I look forward to showing off my legs, and actually giving this mule trend a real college try.
