Visit Ft. Lauderdale, It Has it’s Own Charm

Visit Ft. Lauderdale has it's own charm

Hey Loves,

I must admit I was one of the those people that used Ft. Lauderdale for their airport on the way to Miami. Often times I would fly into Ft. Lauderdale, hop an Uber or Lyft to Miami and enjoy my time in South Beach. However, for New Years this year my guy and I made a getaway to Ft. Laderdale. At first I was wondering, why not just go to Miami, but after spending some time in Ft. Lauderdale, I’m so happy I got a change to visit Ft. Lauderdale, it has it’s own charm and it deserves to be loved.

Now granted I stayed in the tourist area, and it’s more highly populated areas, but I am completely fulfilled. A host of restaurants, scooters to get around, top notch hotels and breathtaking views of the beach, Ft. Lauderdale has something for everyone.

Food; we ate GOOD. Let me tell you. When I travel I’m not one to eat chain restaurants, I feel like I can do that at anytime at home. If you’re making your way down A1A and looking for some good seafood, stop at Coconuts.  Not only is the food fantastic, it offers beautiful views to accompany some amazing seafood.

We also made a stop at Nuevos Cubano. If you like authentic Cuban food, fun décor and pocket friendly, you need to stop by Nuevos Cubano. My suggestion, go at night, during the day it’s hot and tons of people.

We made stop at Bubba Gump Shrimp. I like to collect the pilsner glasses at each location I go to. I have on from Las Vegas, my guy bought me one from New Orleans, so it’s only right that I get one from Ft. Lauderdale. I’m a huge seafood fan so it was only right that we indulge.

I finally found time to wear this Lane Bryant Bathing suit from last year spring. Lane Bryant always has great options for plus size swimwear every year. Be sure to check out my plus size wear videos on my YouTube channel.

Caught some color on the beach

If you’re thinking about making a trip to Florida, but don’t want the full party vibe that is South Beach, Ft. Lauderdale is a perfect option. You can tan, relax, eat, sleep, party and do it all at a slower pace. That’s why I love it. I’ll be turning 30 in 2020, I can’t party like I use to when I was 21. I definitely will be back.

I spent most of the my time walking around, taking in the sun and the smell of the ocean. While I loved the hotel we stayed at, I wanted to get my vitamin D while people watching, seeing cars roll by, watching other tourists roll around on the electronic scooters

Check out more of my travel posts on my blog here! Be sure to read about my cruise that I went on just after leaving Ft. Lauderdale. See in you my next post.

xoxo
