As a Jersey girl, it is my duty to always rep for the queen herself Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah. In case you didn’t know the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards were held in Newark, NJ for the first time ever. Queen Latifah who has always been a proud Jersey girl stunned on the VMA red carpet wearing this beautiful tailored orange suit from Sergio Hudson’s FW 2019 collection. Queen Latifah is no stranger to a red carpet and for me, she can do no wrong. No matter the occasion, she is always sharp, thanks to her stylist (and designer in his own right) Timothy Snell. Her orange suit fit her perfectly and featured eye-catching fringe along the bottom of the pants. Can you imagine the movement when she walked?!?! I certainly can. Not to mention the color pairs perfectly with her skin tone. I wonder if Timothy (her stylist) takes her skin tone into consideration when he id dressing her. If so, I applaud him, because he does a phenomenal job.
I love how she didn’t overpower the suit with too much hair or accessories. She kept the hair sleek & simple and added jewelry that is interestingly dramatic but muted at the same time.
Sergio Hudson is no stranger to creating clean, polished, modern and fun suits. Celebs such as Issa Rae, Teyonah Parris, Beyonce, and Ella Mai have slayed his looks on various red carpets.

Queen always slays. She has the best hair in the game. She is consistently fly! The fringe at the bottom was touch. Orange is certainly her color.
