Starting with Houndstooth

Hey loves,

I had the chance to see David Wolfe (creative director of The Doneger Group) at FIT last night, I just knew that I had to look my best. And of course wanting to have my foot somewhat in the “trend door” I went for this Houndstooth I purchased from Forever 21. I paired it with this hat I got from a friend of mine, my favorite black leggings and booties.

I felt totally fall ready.

Top: Forever 21| Leggings: American Apparel| Booties: Shoedazzle| Hat & Glasses: Borrowed

I really love this top. It’s super airy, very comfortable. The back is pretty much open, is it’s best to either pair it with a belt or a blazer. It also has black spike detailing along the shoulder. So it made it easy to dress.

For me I like to pair flowy tops with leggings, cause it allows for balance. Also can I tell you how excited I was to find a hat that fits my massive head?! lol Win for me.

I was taking pics with my boo Kelly of Masque Mag, which always results in pure laughter, cause all we do is act up. I mean it’s only right.

Hope you love it, until next time loves.

Blue Aztec

Happy New Year loves! I hope you all had an awesome new years and rang in the new year over the top but safe and responsible! So now that we got that out the way, let’s hope into the 1st look of 2013 *dancing around the room!* lol
I did a little shopping over the holiday time, and couldn’t wait to wear my new stuff. I am proud to say that I actually planned out this outfit, and it actually worked lol.

Yes I had to rock it with my new coat.My mommy got it for me for Christmas. Moms always knows things, cause I was in need a new coat. It is super comfortable and great length and I feel all warm and cozy in it.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Asos
Shoes: Justfab
Belt/Earrings: Dots
Bag: Call it Spring
Coat: Cathrine’s (christmas gift)

I thought this Aztec dress from Asos was great for this time of the year. It is freezing up here in Jersey, as it should be (it is ALL THE WAY January lol) The length is great, I love the sleeves and super comfortable. I typically wear a size 18 but i got this dress in 16 and it fits great.

As for my shoes, I think they are one of the bigger surprises. I got them from Just Fab, and in the past I haven’t been to excited with their shoes. They would have some great styles but the fit would suck. But these booties and AWESOME! And they are relatively comfortable. the small studded spikes are just perfect to go from a dress like this, to a more edgy outfit.

I punched up the black and white look with a few pops blue and one of my favorite bags from Call it Spring.

Until next time loves.

Lela Rose in my Fall closet

I enjoy seeing major designers having an open mind and allow the average woman to purchase their designs. For the past year and some change Lela Rose has been one of my favorite designers. Particularly in her shoe designs. I think she really has an eye for mixing colors, textures, and prints. Her shoes are about making a statement; which speaking from experience, they do just that. Her fall collection keeps with what I’ve come to love about her.

I personally own the yellow strap pumps. They are super comfortable, which is also a staple in Lela Rose designs.  She is now and forever a part of my choice of designers.

Leopard and Skirts

So this post is a few days late, but it was so worth it. Late Friday was my best friend’s 23rd birthday. And she had her heart set on going to a club. I had no arguments seeing as how it would be my first time partying in a New Jersey club in my adult life. Again I really had no idea what I was gonna wear, and kind of threw this one together. But I really like it. Everything here you all have seen before. The cardigan I’ve worn before, the skirt, the booties, pretty much are a staple in most of my outfits, but i like reusing them. And yes, I wore the cardigan as a crop top, i couldn’t help it, the idea of showing the hint of skin….#epicwin

NYE Outfit

So it’s not much, and I know is rather late, but I had such an awesome night that I totally forgot to take pictures of my dress before leaving the house. So when I came home I quickly took pictures of my dress. I got it from Fashion to Figure…they are really winning me over with their dresses lately. I saw this dress on the rack and I had to try it on. now actually I thought it was too short for me (imagine that lol) When I actually wore it and movign around in it, I had to continually pull it down, but hey it was New Years Eve!!!! I kept the jewelry and things real simple as usual cause the statement was the dress

Wear it proudly

I did a post about a month ago about Gisela Ramirez an Australian plus size designer. and how I just Purchased one of her crop tops that says F*CK FLATTERING. I really haven’t had many places to wear cause I work all the time and I’m sure Barnes & Noble would not be happy with that. So today on my day off I made a point to take some pics of the top.
In case you all didn’t know I have an obsession with leggings. These are my favorite basic black leggings. The belt I got from Catherine’s, and it is slowly becoming one of my favorite belts. The booties are from torrid.  I did wear the top once to a party I went to, and got a few laughs and complements about the top. So thumbs up to that.

You me and my Flow-y Shirt

These are the times I wish I wad leopard print booties…buuuut I digress. I found this awesome sheer top at dots the other day. It was only $12. i thought it was too cute, and I had to have it. Because I automatically knew what I was going to wear with it. Right down to the jewelry.
I have been wanting to find a sheer top that is flattering, but still really cute. So when I saw this i jumped on it. and what I love most is the back. I love how its longer, and there’s a small button in the back to give the shirt more shape!
The booties are from Steve Madden and are SUPA old! lol I got them back in high school, and really haven’t worn them in quite awhile. I got them when booties were just coming back into style.
