I always get asked if I ever dress down, keep it simple and casual. I promise you guys I do have casual days. I usually don’t post them because I find that it’s not so amazing lol. But I figured I would post what I would wear if I go to dinner with my besties, or what I would wear on the weekends.
Kimono & Jeans: Forever 21| Cami: Ashley Stewart| Wedges: Target| Bag: Call it Spring
I know you’re think “this girl wears wedges on her casual days” lol no I just haven’t pulled out my sandals and summer flats just yet. They’re all stowed away with the rest of my summer clothes. Just wait on it lol
This print was calling my name! I knew it had to be in my closet. It’s so light and airy and I love that it can be worn multiple ways. Can’t wait to wear it on the beach this summer.
So there you have it loves. Until next time.
So we’re hopping into look #3 of my winter lookbook. Yes I’m out in the snow lol don’t judge my life lol I put this outfit together super last minute when I was going out with my dad for his birthday. Being that it was my dad’s birthday I had to show out. Give him some bragging rights lol
When I originally purchased this shirt from Forever 21 I wore it for NYE. I mean it’s a sequin top, what better time to wear it than NYE. But when I paired with this skirt also from Forever 21, it just spoke to my little fashion heart lol
Top & Skirt: Forever 21| Coat: Catherine’s| Turban: RH| Tights: Ashley Stewart| Boots: Shoedazzle
This awesome knit turban was given to me by my last boss Patrick. It’s from the winter collection from one of my favorite clothing lines RH. It’s super warm and I thought it would compliment the gold skirt very well.
I know I look crazy outside in the snow without my coat. I promise it was only for like 3 shots. I want to show the whole shirt.
I know this skirt is all over the blog-o-sphere but it really is a beautiful skirt. the detail, the colors just everything about it gorgeous.
Stay tuned for more outfits in the lookbook. Until next time loves.
This one is for yall! And I must say I was totally feeling myself in this look. I was on my way out for an interesting Friday night and I need a reason to rock these oh so sexy thigh high boots I got from Shoedazzle. Yes my lovea they are from shoedazzle. I know some of you have asked on Facebook.
And I’m totally trying to be a part of the “in crowd” with this Forever 21 faux leather a line skirt. I’ve seen the Zara shorts pretty much everywhere this summer so when Forever made their own, I just had to have it. I got mine in an 18, I should’ve gotten it in a 16 hence the reason for the belt.
Shirt: Fashion to Figure| Skirt: Forever 21| Boots: Shoedazzle| Jewelry: Various places
I just couldn’t resist wearing the skirt with these boots. It shows just enough of my thighs. Yes ma’am (excuse me while I twirl my life away lol)
Surprisingly these boots are super comfortable. Despite the pictures they do reach up to my thighs. My calves aren’t that wide, so boots usually aren’t an issue for me but, these are just perfection.
Yup I’m so in love with myself tonight lol Don’t judge my life lol Unfortunately my night didn’t go as planned. But I still looked great lol. Until next time loves.
This summer I told myself I really wanted to stay away from high low dresses and skirts, because they are practically EVERYWHERE lol The market is so saturated with the cut that I’m in overload. But as I was getting dressed on this dreadfully hot day in NJ/NY I pulled out this dress that was all the way in the back of my closet. It was one of my favorites from last summer.
So I went against my own word and wore it lol. But I remember why I loved this dress so much. It is super light, comfy and perfect for a day with it’s sweltering out and I have to walk. And best of all it fits soooooo much better this year, than it did last year.
Dress: Forever 21
This dress always made me want to dance!
Until next time loves
I’ve been meaning to write this post for like a week now. One of my favorite places to shop, as you all know is, Forever 21. I always find something in that store. Even if I’m not looking, that’s when all the cute stuff magically finds it’s way to the front of the rack so I can see it. But this post isn’t about the cute stuff. It’s about Forever 21’s new workout gear. Why does this excite me? Because now we have more options for cute workout clothes. Part of my shallow self likes to look cute even when I’m working out and sweating lol Please don’t ask why. But during fashion week, I stopped in the Forever 21 on 42nd about 5 times in span of 2 days. And was amazed at the options of workout gear.
They had really great options for colors. Great yoga pants, capris, sports bras, basic camis etc.
Now I’m sure you’re probably wondering why is this a big deal. Well if you remember back during new years, one of the pledges I made to myself was to be a healthier me. I have been making strides with my eating, so the next thing is to really stay with the fitness and remaining active. I personally think it’s a great idea that Forever 21 is offering workout gear. Because they are really becoming a one stop shop, you can get you cute clothes, and you workout stuff all in one place #totalwin.
Per usual, the price range is from about $11.80-$22.80 (talk about affordable) So now ladies we really don’t have an excuse to not be in the gym, or working out. Cause now we can look extra cute doing it lol
For the women that are working out, please check out the latest post from Stylish Curves. She opened up about us plus size women that do actually work out and are healthy despite the size of our bodies. Check it out here
Until next time loves,
In my last post I talked about my lovely time at the SBOC event last night. So lets get into my outfit for the night. I had a rather difficult time deciding what to wear. I knew I wanted this top, and I wanted to wear my blue wedges, but I didn’t know what to wear in the middle (my pants lol). But in true Shay fashion, my outfit was last minute. And the glasses were a last minute touch and they were a total hit! Point blank I loved my outfit!
#random #sidenote I did my own make up last night and I’m pretty damn proud of myself. Bare Essentials is officially my new love.

It’s about time I finally wear this dress. So if for some unknown reason you’ve been living under a rock you would know that I’m basically living in hi/low dresses and/or skirts. So today kinda in a rush I pulled out my dress from forever 21 that I got a few weeks back. I got in 1x cause the 2x just looked to big on me. But when I got home the top part of the dress was to tight. But today I was like what the hell “F it” so I put it on and honey let me tell you, I’m feelin the hell outta myself right now lol and of course I had to throw on the leopard print wedges to set it off! but I love this dress, And feel extra cute!

what do you think?
So it is quite clear that one of the major trends for the summer with be ‘high & low’ skirts and dress. Now I must admit, I was like eh its not my thing, or it just didn’t really tickle my fancy. But like most things, it takes time for it to grow on you. I kind of put it on the back burner. But recently I’ve been seeing a lot of young ladies really workin this style! It’s on of the styles that you have to either see it done, or have a rather extensive imagination. A lot of these young ladies give me inspiration to try this. and I think I will in the very close future.
Saw this girl on tumblr!
of course Monif C. will have her own!….and this young lady submitted this to my tumblr!
You get my point right!? It’s one of those trends that you have to make work for yourself. Or else it just won’t do. So if you lovely ladies have some great outfits with high/low dress or skirt…I would soooooo love to see it. Email them to me so we can show the world!

I have been wanting to do this post for theeeeeee longest. One of my co-workers at my job, always comes to work fly. I mean i get jealous. I swear if she had her own fashion blog I would basically stalk it everyday (yup i said it lol) I #lowkey always want to raid her closet. But any way, when I saw her come in the office today, I just knew I had to put her on the blog. So ladies please say hello to Ms. Simone Williams! *round of applause*
This is what she wore to work today, and I have to say her wardrobe is just as fabulous as her personality. This whole outfit gives me life. You all know I love a pop of color with print! #win. And you know what makes this outfit all the more better, she wears it with confidence, and I can definitely rock with that!
You can’t tell me she isn’t fabulous?!
All I know is, she betta WORK *snap* lol

So I’m totally aware the Valentine’s day was 5 days ago buuuuuut I clearly don’t care lol. I wore this on Valentine’s day for a date I went on. I wasn’t going all out. So I stuck with all black and a splash of color and print. My new favorite leopard print wedges, and my yellow clutch I got from Fashion to Figure. The shirt I got from Forevet 21, I wore it to the IFB con. and to keep things sexy I wore the shirt without a cami underneath. I like to be daring! I think I’ve found my new favorite pair of black skinny jeans. They fit like a glove and are super comfortable! Thank you DOTS!
