A-Line Skirt & Thigh Highs

Hey Loves,
This one is for yall! And I must say I was totally feeling myself in this look. I was on my way out for an interesting Friday night and I need a reason to rock these oh so sexy thigh high boots I got from Shoedazzle. Yes my lovea they are from shoedazzle. I know some of you have asked on Facebook.

And I’m totally trying to be a part of the “in crowd” with this Forever 21 faux leather a line skirt. I’ve seen the Zara shorts pretty much everywhere this summer so when Forever made their own, I just had to have it. I got mine in an 18, I should’ve gotten it in a 16 hence the reason for the belt.

Shirt: Fashion to Figure| Skirt: Forever 21| Boots: Shoedazzle| Jewelry: Various places
I just couldn’t resist wearing the skirt with these boots. It shows just enough of my thighs. Yes ma’am (excuse me while I twirl my life away lol)

Surprisingly these boots are super comfortable. Despite the pictures they do reach up to my thighs. My calves aren’t that wide, so boots usually aren’t an issue for me but, these are just perfection.

Yup I’m so in love with myself tonight lol Don’t judge my life lol Unfortunately my night didn’t go as planned. But I still looked great lol. Until next time loves.
XOXO

From a Dress to a Skirt

Hey Loves,

1st off, Happy Father’s day to all the the dads out there. This post was a combination of bordem gone wrong and blogger inspiration. The other day, one of my favorite plus size bloggers Chasity of GarnerStyle, showed how she versatile one skirt can be. If you have seen it, check it out here.

But anyway, I bought this dress from Strawberry sometime in February and only wore it once. I actually forgot I had it cause, I couldn’t find it. (story of my life) But today as I was laying around I threw it on, and started thinking of different ways in can be worn. So off I went on my dressing up adventure lol  Below are the quick simply outfits I came up with.

Mom's Closet

It’s the age old fight between mother and daughter you never see eye to eye about FASHION!!! She thinks what you’re wearing is inappropriate, and you think what she’s wearing is ALL THE WAY OLD, and heaven forbid you find pictures of her when she was your age…because it can go either way. You either want to snap at her and say WERK!!!!! or you want to scream and burn the picture cause you feel embarrassed by the foolishness that she wore.

Me personally I’ve experienced both situations. But today this post is a *2 snaps in a circle* “YOU BETTER WERK” kind of post. Being that I’m off from work today and was bored, I really wanted to go thrifting but then realized that I don’t have any money #sadface I went to my moms house and something told me to just look in her closet, see what’s there. Now in the last few years my mother has dropped a lot of weight, so she has loads of clothes that she can’t wear any more. And they are taking up valuable space in her closet.

So I went on a little shopping spree in her closet. And came out with some really great things. Now some things do need to visit a tailor, and could use some TLC from a needle and thread, but I’m supa excited nontheless. My mission now is to stock up on some bottoms. I have a lot of tops and sweaters, but don’t have many choices for bottoms. I can’t be in leggings and short skirts everyday, and I need an alternative to regular blue jeans. But that’s besides the point. Check out the awesome things I got from my mom’s closet!!!

Aren’t they great. I have sooooo many ideas that are forming. You will definitely see these items popping up in the future.

Amen to Leopard

OK OK I know I haven’t posted in about a week. But lately work keeps me busy and I really haven’t been inspired to really but together an outfit. Well at least put together an outfit that you all haven’t seen before. But I’m trying to get my life together with this post. I wore this outfit to church yesterday. My dance ministry was dancing so I was very important that I make it to service to watch them worship. I very rarely make it to church cause I work Sunday mornings. But any way this is what I came up with. Kept it very simple but want to feel slightly feisty with the leopard print cardigan.

I got the cardigan this past saturday when me and the besties went shopping. We literally had a shoping day. We spent a good 5 to 6 hours in the mall. (a real girl’s shopping day) We havent been able to shop like that in a long time cause I work a lot, my bestie just got a job at Urban Outfitters, and th elife of working in retail has its down sides. Buuuut moving on the entire outfit was relatively inexpensive…and you know I love a fierce inexpensive outfit. And yes I like to praise the Lord in style

Black, Brown, and White

Today was a pretty nice day, and a perfect day to play dress up. I wasn’t to hot so I don’t mind changing in and out of different articles of clothing. You’ve seen this skirt before, so i wanted to reuse the look. About two weeks ago I bought these really cute sandals for Target for $17.50 and they a light beige/brown. So i was on the hunt for a belt to match, cause I had this skirt in mind. I got lucky, the other day while doing laundry I ran into Dots, where I found this perfect belt! YAY ME! lol I paired it with this simple black tube top and here you go!

Yea I’m a Jersey Girl

You read the title right I am a born and raised Jersey girl. No I’m not Italian…and no I don’t fist pump or any other cultural foolishness that is associated with my home state. Buuuuuut I digress. I know my profile says Atlanta, but that is where I went to college, and my future place of living.

There’s nothing really special about this out. I just felt rather cute in it. This pass weekend my dad went to Cape May and he brought me back a t-shirt. Immediately I thought about my Adidas watch that I got for Christmas. sooo 1+1=this outfit lol. Its really, something to keep me somewhat cool on these hot summer days in Jersey

Recycled Skirt for Dinner & Drinks

Saturday evening I spent some quality time with my mom in New York. We had dinner and margaritas at this cute little Mexican place called Lime Jungle (its on the corner of 9th ave and 50th st)  but my outfit I wanted to be real simple but still fun. And i didnt want to wear to much clothes cause its been hot in Jersey the last couple days. My skirt is actually a summer dress that I got from wetseal my about 3 yrs ago. I love the dress but its not the most appropriate thing to wear cause you really cant wear a bar with it, and even though im not very large at the top it doesnt work to well.
So I simply flipped down the top and wore it as a high skirt with a belt. It was airy and i felt super cute. A simple cami and jewelry pulled it all together for me.
