If for some unknown reason you were living under a rock, last night was Fashion’s Night Out and being a hop skip & step from NY, its imperative that I go. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted but we’re not going to get into that. I spent my night at Yotel for Plus Night Out. Got to see some great designs, so great models and network my butt off. I mean that’s what it’s all about right.

In my last post I talked about my lovely time at the SBOC event last night. So lets get into my outfit for the night. I had a rather difficult time deciding what to wear. I knew I wanted this top, and I wanted to wear my blue wedges, but I didn’t know what to wear in the middle (my pants lol). But in true Shay fashion, my outfit was last minute. And the glasses were a last minute touch and they were a total hit! Point blank I loved my outfit!
#random #sidenote I did my own make up last night and I’m pretty damn proud of myself. Bare Essentials is officially my new love.

So I have been meaning to do a post about this dress I got from H&M like a month ago. I’m so in love with this dress. I had to get it cause it’s a hi/lo dress, but how can I forget the absolutely fabulous color! for the #win. H&M is growing on my list of places to always go to. Don’t be afraid to try things on in H&M. A lot of their dresses have great stretch that can fit our curves. This dress is actually a large (you you read that right!) But anyway, I paired the dress with my new favorite blue wedges and my blue bag from Call it Spring! So yea I’m all about my Hues and Blue!

So in true Shainna Fashion, this whole outfit was put together as I was getting dressed this morning simply because I didn’t want to wear the outfit I had on first lol. This seems to happen to me all the time, I have one outfit in mind, I put it on and it does nothing for me. Then I change to something different and it’s like YES! lol but anywho, I woke up excited this morning and felt awesome and after the awesome Qristyl Frazier fashion show last night (which I’ll post about very soon). This look is super simple just the way I like it. The black sheer tunic thing lol I found at goodwill a while back and never knew what to do with it. And then one night I had this great idea, and cut the sleeves off, and this is what I got! lol (please ignore the fact that my leggings clearly a level lol)

until next time ladies!
I’m definitely feeling some kinda way because I wore this outfit on Friday, and I’m just now able to post about. I had quite the weekend, which I’ll get into in my next post. But it was absolutely beautiful up here on Friday. And I was excited because I was finally able to wear the wrap dress that I got from Old Navy. I paired it with my leopard print wedge booties for a little extra pop. I felt super sexy. And apparently a lot of men thought so too. The amount of attention I got in this dress was WAAAAAAY more than I was use to. But hey what can I say…everybody ain’t able lol
But what I love about this dress, is that it’s comfortable and flattering. (as is most wrap dresses) This is the second wrap dress I won. The other one was black that I got from NY & Co. back when I was in high school. I wore that thing to death. And when I saw this dress, I knew right a way that I had to have it. I pulled my hair in to this really great messy yet some-what polished bun with my very simple and familiar jewelry and It was the perfect outfit for a nice day at the office.

Hope you had a good weekend and a great week!
So I’m totally aware the Valentine’s day was 5 days ago buuuuuut I clearly don’t care lol. I wore this on Valentine’s day for a date I went on. I wasn’t going all out. So I stuck with all black and a splash of color and print. My new favorite leopard print wedges, and my yellow clutch I got from Fashion to Figure. The shirt I got from Forevet 21, I wore it to the IFB con. and to keep things sexy I wore the shirt without a cami underneath. I like to be daring! I think I’ve found my new favorite pair of black skinny jeans. They fit like a glove and are super comfortable! Thank you DOTS!

So today started of miserable. I spent most of the morning trying to figure out how I’m going to pay off my student loans. And that process in and of itself really drained me and gave me a serious reality check on life. I spent quite some time being upset about the whole situation. I knew paying back student loans would break the bank, but not this much. I need the Lord to step in asap. Because I’m not sure what I can do at this point. So what better way to make myself feel better than to dress up and take pictures.
I’ve had this outfit in my mind for a couple weeks now. It was a matter of me putting it together. It actually came together better than I thought it would. I love it. There’s an indescribeable feeling you get when an outfit really works for you. oh and you have to see the most adorable geeky robot necklace that I got the other day…isnt he the cutest thing ever?!?!?!

Isn’t He adorable lol!
OK OK I know I haven’t posted in about a week. But lately work keeps me busy and I really haven’t been inspired to really but together an outfit. Well at least put together an outfit that you all haven’t seen before. But I’m trying to get my life together with this post. I wore this outfit to church yesterday. My dance ministry was dancing so I was very important that I make it to service to watch them worship. I very rarely make it to church cause I work Sunday mornings. But any way this is what I came up with. Kept it very simple but want to feel slightly feisty with the leopard print cardigan.
I got the cardigan this past saturday when me and the besties went shopping. We literally had a shoping day. We spent a good 5 to 6 hours in the mall. (a real girl’s shopping day) We havent been able to shop like that in a long time cause I work a lot, my bestie just got a job at Urban Outfitters, and th elife of working in retail has its down sides. Buuuut moving on the entire outfit was relatively inexpensive…and you know I love a fierce inexpensive outfit. And yes I like to praise the Lord in style

I know some of you wanted to see what it is I wore to the conference. I showed you all the perfect dream outfit, if you don’t remember here it is…
and here is what I wore!
Lela Rose Wedges
Shorts- Asos Curve
Wedges- Lela Rose for Payless
Getting dress the morning of the conference was…talk about organic. I had no idea what I was going to do with my hair. I curled it the night before and I hated it. but last minute i did a quick little updo and LOVED IT!
he glasses were a last minute thing as well. I was getting ready to walk out the door when I say them on my dresser, i put them on and it was lik YYYEEESSS *2 snaps* lol
I kept the make up and accessories really simple because I wanted the outfit to speak for itself.
And the shoes….lol the shoes, the shoes, the shoes They were a real hit which was not what I was expecting. When I saw this shoes at payless I just had to have the. The issue is, they are a size ten. in the store only left foot was able to fit in the shoe. The band that comes over the top of my foot was cutting off all kinds of circulation lol. So when I got home and thought about it, I cut the top part open. I made all kinds of attempts to fix it and make the shoe look better. but while at the conference i left them juSt cut open and every loved them! yup my shoes were a DIY. POW!!!
What do you guys think?
Just a simple outfit i threw together to go to dinner with my firiends. I wanted to keep it simple cause we were only going to Fridays. I succeeded in wearing a messy bun, which proved to be difficult to drive with seeing as how it sits so high on my head. The pink lips and the wedges I threw on for the pictures. But for the most part I like the look. The skinny jeans are from Forever 21, The shirt was a gift from my mom, the wedges I found at Target for only $6.49!!!! Simple but i love it.
