Weekend Casual with J. Jill

I've always love a simple dress for the summer. It's perfect to throw on and just go. So when the folks over at J.Jill sent me this light weight linen dress I was super excited. I've always been a huge fan of J.Jill as a brand. They offer amazing quality pieces for a decent price & they offer both straight & plus size. A lot of the pieces that are offered in straight sizes are offered in plus. This particular dress goes up to a 4X...that's right 4X!

This dress is super light weight, perfect for hot a day. If you've ever been to Jersey or NY during the summer, it can be absolutely disgusting & humid. But this dress allows me to be covered, but still cool. For this post I wanted to style this dress 3 different ways because it is very casual and some times it's hard to style a linen dress that goes beyond flats or sneakers

Look 1.

I did start with basic sneakers for this look. I figured it's simple & is perfect for a picnic, a street fair, a walk in the park pretty much anything. I paired the dress with basic sneakers & this canvas bag from J.Jill. I got this bag from a preview I attended for them & I have been obsessed with it ever since.

Look 2

I paired the dress with some chunky heel pumps & a clutch to create a casual evening look. It's perfect for a night out on the town with your boo. I kept the colors very neutral because sometimes it's nice to be simple.

Maybe you want to wear your dress with pants! I paired the dress with a simple black tank top & my favorite white jeans from Fashion to Figure. I threw on simple black & gold pumps to keep it sexy.
