Living in the NJ/NY area, I happily wait for May & June to roll around because I can FINALLY wear shorts & a t-shirt. I spend all winter covering up my legs. So the moment the weather breaks, the legs are out. I look forward to buying shorts every spring and summer. Particularly from Lane Bryant. Because I like showing all of my legs I look for shorts that are long enough not to ride up, but short enough to give me the look I like. I picked these cuffed girlfriend shorts because cuffed shorts have a special place in my heart. I have these shorts in a size 18 and I love the fit. I thought about sizing up, however I know LB shorts will give a bit as I’m wearing them and I didn’t want to risk them getting too big. So sticking with my normal size of 18 was the best option.
I look for quality in my clothing. Lane Bryant denim shorts always feels good on the body and I know will last through wash & wear. I definitely see myself wearing these the moment we’re allowed to go outside again.
I don’t know about you, but there is something about warm weather that changes how I move. I loved this t-shirt “Late for Something” because I had to poke fun at myself. While I’m generally an “on time” person, I can’t lie that I have moments of, I’ll get there when I get there. Of course being able to go somewhere fully rest on being able to go outside for real.
As a girl who is always on the move, having a good balance for fashion & comfort is always a plus, and LB’s t-shirts are soft & easy for me during warm NY summers. If I want simple basics, LB has them. If I want cute graphic tees, LB has them as well. That’s a win/win for me. If you prefer a more fitted look, I would suggest sizing down 1. If you like a relaxed fit, keep your normal size.
No matter if I want to dress these shorts up with cute sandals or dressed down with a pair of Reebok sneakers, I know I’ll always be ready to go. I’ve worn Lane Bryant shorts plenty of times before here on the blog. You can check out the different ways I’ve styled them over the years.
