Some of you know my story with unemployment. back in 2012 I was let go from a my 1st full time job. At the time I was really hurt because it truly came out of left field. I was sitting with my boss and she was telling me that I was going to get a new client, and I was going to be trusted with more work. Less than a week later the HR department told me my boss felt like was no longer a fit for the job.

In the moment I was pissed because this is the 1st time I dealing with the BS of corporate America. How can you say you want to give more work, but then a few days later, I’m not fit for the position. I did harbor a lot of bad feelings. I was angry & quite bitter. I didn’t know how it would be received by other companies. Having to admit that you were fired doesn’t look so good in interviews. 

But my silver lining…my #girlscan moment, after I loss my job, I was able to take some time to learn a new profession, I was able to devote more time to my blog, I was able to be on Good Morning America, I’ve able to really learn how to stay strong for myself. I believe God pulled me out of the situation because it wasn’t good for me. Having a freelance lifestyle now is different and is all about the hustle, but I do believe that something awesome will come.
