Of course we all know that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, some of you may or may not know  my mother is a breast cancer survivor. So when my bestie Meredith reached out to me about what her cross fit gym was doing to raise money in conjunction with Barbell for Boobs, I jumped on the chance write a post.

Barbells for Boobs, was founded in 2009 by Zionna Munoz after learning that a best friend of hers was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 26.Through her persistence, and even being referred to come back when she was 40, Zionna's friend found out that she had Stage o breast cancer. That in part is what inspired Zionna to create B4B, and she has made tremendous strides with this organization.

Barbells for Boobs is a non-profit organization that provides funding to pay for breast cancer detection services as a last resort

for thousands of people who don't qualify for assistance elsewhere.

Our aim is to help anyone that needs it, anywhere, whether they are male or female, no matter what their age or situation in life.

My besties' gym Brazen Athletics is raising money for women to get mammograms for early detection. A complete mammogram only costs $80. Ladies we spend more than that on shoes and clothes.. Their goal as a team is to raise $1000 & so far they are 1/2 way there.
