Being here in the NY/NJ area, means the cold weather is coming hard and fast. So I have to be prepared. And living up here means investing in great coats. But I also think that a great functional coat doesn't have to be ugly.

So here we go....
I love a good Moto Jacket. Talk about totally on trend. This one from Simply Be is great to add to the closet. And it also gives room for you to wear an nice sweater underneath.
I am a girl that likes something classic. A pea coat for fall & winter never goes out of style. Love the color of the double breasted pea coat from Jessica London
I also love something creative. Allison Teng did a collab with Mynt 1792, the blogger collection is available for purchase November 1st. I am dying for this jacket. I love that it is super versatile.
Lastly this coat from City Chic is just perfect. It brings together being chic & functionality. And the fur trim around the collar is great for those chilly nights on the town to come.
