If you saw my last outfit post you know that I spent last Saturday at Saratoga Race Course. This was my 1st time going to races and I just couldn't wait to see what it is all about. It was an experience. It was much bigger than I expected and there was a lot to keep you busy throughout the day. It was crowded. it was different for me, but fun.The trip was sponsored by the awesome people at America's Best Racing. They offer these kinds of experiences at different race tracks around the country. I, my blogging buddy Sarah of Curvily & other bloggers from the area met in Brooklyn for the 3 hour ride from the city up to Saratoga. I gotta say they did us right. Our party bus was the bomb.
Another sponsor for this trip was the awesome people at Buffalo Trace Distillery. They make an incredible bourbon. Now typically I am not a bourbon drinker, I'm more of a dark rum girl (thanks to the guy) but this one was actually good. We got the chance to taste two cocktails for the day. A Spiced Lemonade & Mint Julep. The lemonade was quite good. Buffalo Trace comes from the most decorated distillery in the world and the oldest operating distillery in America!
If you follow me on instagram you saw that I had a chance to go to the Paddock to get up close & personal with the horses. We were able to pet them (they get super sweaty after a race), also got a chance to talk with some very insightful people about how the horses are kept healthy.

This guy here is a new race horse in training.
Jockey's get the royal treatment. When they're coming through you have to stand to side & let them pass. Rightfully so!
Me and Victoria!
It really was a great day. I didn't place any bets, but that's fine. I just went to experience the day. Thank you to Victoria of America's Best Racing, and Andrea of Buffalo Trace for making it an awesome experience. Until next time loves.
