Sequins after the Holidays2:38 PM
I finally got my life together, and this is the 1st outfit of 2015 YAY! I knew I wanted to shoot this look for awhile but I wanted to find the perfect camel coat. Camel coats are really in right now, especially for the plus size fashionista. I loved the look that Alissa from Stylish Curves put together. Check out her look. So after making a trip to the thrift store I got this amazing camel coat for $11.99. Talk about total win.Top: DKNYC (similar here & here)| Jeans: Lane Bryant (similar)| Coat: Thrift Store (similar)| Bag: H&M| Shoes: Lela Rose via Payless
You all know the second I know we are approaching christmas & NYE sequins will make an apperance at some point. But I wanted to show that sqeuins doesn't have to be limited to just the holiday women for us thick girls. I loved the sqeuin pullover top from DKNYC. I purchased it from Lord & Taylor and I knew I wanted to create multiple outfits with it. I kept my eye on it, and the second it went on sale I scooped it up.
I am wearing a medium in this top. One thing we as thick women have to understand is that sizing will alter depending on the cut of the clothing. I tried on the xl (which is my normal size) & it was too big. The large was still a bit too big as well, but when I put on the medium it was just right.
Can we talk about this camel colored coat. As mentioned above, I found this at a thrift store. I knew I wanted one, but was not about the life a spending a lot of money on one. A thrift store is a great place to find things like trench coats, especially if I you're looking for a vintage vibe.
2015 is off to a good start. I have so many outfits in mind that I can't wait to share with you all.
