Plaid Cape

Hey Loves,

I’m sure you all remember this plaid cape. I made this last year as one of my DIY moments. I originally saw this DIY plaid cape on P.S I made this like 4 years ago and always wanted to make one. So last fall when my blogger boo Kelly of KellyAugustine.com was doing a fall fashion challenge, I knew that was the perfect time to make it & turn heads. Cape’s are staples that I absolutely love in the fall. They are just endlessly chic, and easy to wear.

Cape: DIY| Top: Rafaella| Jeans: Lane Bryant| Clutch: Thrift Store

I had been wanting to shoot in this park not to far from my house, so when a nice day rolled around I quick grabbed my camera. I also thought, what a great time to pull out this cape. It’s so fall and perfect for the time of the year before the temperature plummets into God’s nowhere lol

I also really wanted to shoot this look because I’m also stepping out of my comfort zone with this look. Pairing a wide leg jean trouser with a large cape is usually a no no for me, but I loved the end result. Usually I would say pair a large top with a tapered bottom or vice versa, but sometimes it’s ok to break your own rules.

Hope you guys are staying warm. Until next time loves.

xoxo
Shay
