I would be lying if I said I don’t take MAJOR pride in saying that I’ve been to Africa twice (specifically Ghana) Beyond the fact that it is amazing to be around literally everyone & everything black is life-changing. I also love that I get to wear African print (Ankara Print) while I’m there. The fabrics and prints that are available there are next level. While preparing both trips I went on the hunt for the perfect plus size African print dresses. Since then, I have found my favorite black-owned companies that offer Ankara print for plus size women.

Grass Fields was the 1st company that I found out offered plus size options. I’ve worn them countless times over the last few years. I posted about them here on the blog back in 2016 when I traveled to Aruba. They have never let me down.

When I started looking for ankara print before heading to Ghana Ofuure was a brand that I had seen all over Instagram. For my recent trip to Ghana Dec. 2019 I opted for this infinity dress and couldn’t be happier with how I looked & felt. I found out about Diyanu when they reached out to me to do a review on my YouTube channel. After the 1st video I FELL IN LOVE. They are based in Philly and offer both straight & plus sizes. Everything I have purchased from them has fit perfectly and is worth the money.

I became aware of Diarrablu when my good friend and fellow blogger Gayvn of GavynTaylor.com wore this dress while she was in South Africa for AfroPunk. To say she took my breath away is an understatement. Diarrablu gives nothing but pure luxury with beautiful designs, simplistic designs, and eye-catching prints.
