Staying Fresh with Dove Advanced Care

Dove advance care deodorant

Hey Loves,

As a woman, particularly a plus size woman, personal hygiene is very important to me. I’ve always been someone that sweats easily (something I never liked). But instead of fighting it, I’ve learned to find products that work for me to keep me feeling fresh at all times. For this post, I teamed up with Dove to talk about how upgrading to their new Dove Advanced Care Anti-Perspirant has helped me feel fresh longer. Dove Advance Care offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection plus added skincare benefits of Dove ¼ moisturizers and NutriumMoisture for softer, smoother underarms.

5 Must Have Gray Lipsticks

5 must have gray lipsticks

Hey Loves,

I know the thought of gray lipstick can be a bit intimidating. I can’t lie, I felt like that for a long time. Gray lipstick is one of the colors that you have to be ready for, but when you do wear it, it’s bomb.com. A few months back I had the urge to wear gray lipstick, I don’t know how or why, but I just wanted a change from my usual reds, pinks, and purples. Talk about COMPLETELY different. So of course, I went on the hunt for gray lipsticks. I am quite surprised that I found quite a few brands that sold gray lipsticks. I narrowed down these 5 must-have gray lipsticks because truthfully  I felt they complimented my skin the most.

SAG Awards 2017 Nominees Beauty Challenge| Uzo Aduba

SAG Awards 2017

Hey Loves,

I always love using my favorite celebs as a source of inspiration. So when a few of my blogger babes teamed up to a SAG Awards 2017 Nominees beauty challenge, I was totally on board. The SAG awards will air January 29th, it’s actually one of the few award shows during award season that I actually like to watch.  For my look, I picked the beautiful chocolate beauty Uzo Aduba. She is nominated for best actress in a comedy series for her role as Suzanne in Netflix hit show Orange is the New Black.  Her look is so simple but is speaks volumes. I love that the focus was on her beautiful eyes, her full lips, and cheeks.  Be sure to check my girl Crystal from Society of Harlow’s post. I’m sure her look will be amazing. Let’s check out my look!

Hey Loves,
Some of you may or may not know, one of my favorite cosmetic brands is Kiko Cosmetics. I first heard about them about 2 years ago when they opened a store in the mall near me. I fell in love with saw the prices point for many of their products. I’ve spent soooooo much money in that store it’s almost embarrassing. One of my favorite mascaras is from Kiko and it was worth every bit of the $9 I paid for it. But this post is all about their latest limited summer collection. Based off the packaging, I’m sure it’s an amazing collection.

Hey Loves,

I have to be honest, I’m coming into this makeup game super late. I never use to wear makeup, and if I did it was nothing more than lame eyeshadow and a REALLY bad eyeliner job. Even in my early years of blogging I NEVER wore makeup. Sometimes when I look back at my old post, I’m like OH GOD!!!! But the more I got into blogging I realized makeup is a must. It’s about pulling my whole look together. My collection is growing. So for this post I listed my 4 favorite foundations for women of color.

Talking About my Skin

black women dealing with hyperpigmentation

Hey Loves,

In an effort to be more open about me and my life outside of fashion I’m trying new avenues to connect with you all. I have to say this will be quite embarrassing to talk about. But maybe you all might have some opinions or recommendations. So one thing you may or may not know about me is that I have suffered from acne since I was about 12. Which is nothing new, I mean a lot of people get acne during puberty. But acne managed to follow me into adulthood. This post is really for women but particularly black women dealing with hyperpigmentation. I hope this inspires someone
