I've been asked plenty of times where do I get my inspiration from? and my answer is generally "everywhere" Celebs, magazines, movies, tumblr...but what I enjoy most is an outfit is directly inspired by one of my favorite bloggers. It's Friday and it's a beautiful day here in NY/NJ and I was determined to feel good in my clothes today. Last night I say Chakayla's latest outfit post...and I just new I wanted to so something similar. I made a point to get up early, I did my make-up and hair...I just like today was a day to feel beautiful even if I'm sitting at my desk for the next 8 hrs. lol

 

Mother's day weekend, I spent it in Atlanta for my Almar Mater. I had plenty of friends that were graduating and being that I now live in Jersey, it was only right that I made my way back. It was rainy and rather gloomy, but to see my loves and my friends,  oh and this rather awesome dress, made it all the more better! I got this dress from dots about 2 weeks ago when they were having a sale Buy 1 dress and get the 2nd 1/2 off. So you know I had to hop on it! I am so in love with this dress, I love how the top fits and I adore the back!

So it is quite clear that one of the major trends for the summer with be 'high & low' skirts and dress. Now I must admit, I was like eh its not my thing, or it just didn't really tickle my fancy.But like most things, it takes time for it to grow on you. I kind of put it on the back burner. But recently I've been seeing a lot of young ladies really workin this style! It's on of the styles that you have to either see it done, or have a rather extensive imagination. A lot of these young ladies give me inspiration to try this. and I think I will in the very close future.

You get my point right!? It's one of those trends that you have to make work for yourself. Or else it just won't do. So if you lovely ladies have some great outfits with high/low dress or skirt...I would soooooo love to see it. Email them to me so we can show the world!
