Hey Loves,
My blogger booskie Kelly of Masque Mag is having a Fall Fashion Faceoff. It's a fashion challenge that starts Sept. 24th through Dec. 9th. It gives us a chance to dabble and have fun with different fashion trends. If you want a more details post, check out Kelly's post here. The goal here is to incorporate every trend the best way you can. And at the end of it all the winner gets a nice little prize.
This past Saturday I went to a reggae/soca party out in Brooklyn.Which meant I had to show a little skin. I recently bought this camo vest from Dots, and thought it was the perfect time to wear it out.

ATGC On the Scene: Ashley Stewart Signature Events
Hey Loves,
Can I tell you the folks at Ashley Stewart are probably sick of seeing my face. This weekend I spent a good portion of my Friday night and Saturday afternoon attending the new Ashley Stewart events for the launch of their Signature collection. But it's cool, cause as always it's good time with my fave models, bloggers, and Ashley Stewart main chicks (hey Erica!!!) If you haven't read my post on their signature collection, check it out here

ATGC On the Scene; Plus Night Out
Hey Loves,
Friday Sept. 13th was one hell of a day for me. I had the esteem pleasure of being a part of the Plus Night Out movement. Sadly because I was working the event, my POV was a little different than normal. So most of the pics in this post are not mine, and I will list below the ownership. Let's get into it.
PNO was hosted by Joanne Borgella on NUVOtv's "Curvy Girls" and featured 11 different designers that have the curvy/plus size women in mind. Great pieces hung on the bodies of countless models that let the world know that our curves are nothing to be ashamed of.

Starting with Houndstooth
Hey loves,
I had the chance to see David Wolfe (creative director of The Doneger Group) at FIT last night, I just knew that I had to look my best. And of course wanting to have my foot somewhat in the "trend door" I went for this Houndstooth I purchased from Forever 21. I paired it with this hat I got from a friend of mine, my favorite black leggings and booties.
I felt totally fall ready.

Powerfit Dress
Hey Loves,
I'm trying something new here. I am making more of an attempt to step outside my fashion comfort zone, and wear things I normally wouldn't. When the wonderful people over at Scarlett & Jo asked if I wanted to review their new Powerfit Dress, I said to myself sure let's do it. However, I needed the right place and right time to wear the dress. So this pass Sunday when my mom was honored at church, I had the perfect dress in mind.

Amber Riley Shows out on DWTS
If you didn't know DTWS season 17 kicked off last night. And if you read the title right, you know what this post is about. Amber and her partner Derek came out and cha-cha'd their way into America's hearts. As an avid Amber Riley fan, I couldn't wait to see what she would bring. And honey when I she brought the fire...she let the world know, she ain't a size 2, but baby she sure can move.
I was proud of Amber not just for her talent, and stepping to do something that she really has never done before. But show that plus size/curvy/thick women can move, and we are not bound by our size. I dare someone to say that all plus size women are unhealthy and lazy...uh I think not! Go Amber!
Until Next time loves.
xoxo

Rent the Runway Plus Launch
Hey Loves,
Extra Extra...I have some exciting news. Rent the Runway has officially launched their plus line! WWWWHHHHAAATTTT! lol yea ladies, we now have the option to rent absolutely beautiful gowns in size 14-22. So you know that means, someone needs to have Christmas party so I have a reason to rent a dress.
Last night I had the awesome pleasure of attending their launch event at their showroom down in Soho. Thank you to Nicolette Mason for the invite. Myself and a handful of my favorite bloggers, got to catch up with each other, sip on some champagne, munch on so great finger food and of course play a little dress up.

Fall with Sonsi & Reah Norman
Hey Loves,
So for some reason I suck at putting together "trend post" Like I had been working a fall trend post for weeks but it just hasn't come to fruition. But when I got this email, It spoke directly to my heart. Fashion & Product Stylist teamed up with Sonsi to bring us all a peek into her vision of fall fashions from Sonsi Women.
I've always adored Reah, so lets take a look at what she came up with

I think this is my favorite look, just because this is something I would totally wear. #enoughsaid

A Signature collection
Hey Loves,
So within the last couple months I have been silently stalking the life out of Ashley Stewart. So when they asked to put a look together using 2 pieces from their recently release Signature Collection, I jumped at the chance. You all know I'm not the one to wear conventional professional attire, but I made sure to add my own flare to my looks.
For my loves that have "serious" dress code at their office or places of business, AS's new Signature collection has all the basics that you would need. blazers, skirts, dress pant, cardigans, and turtle necks allows you to stay within your dress code, but you don't want to lose some sort of fashionable flare.
I chose the purple cardigan, and the grey skirt. I came up with 3 looks because I knew in my head that I wanted to wear each piece twice. So here's what I got.

Thrifted & Wrapped
Hey Loves,
As much as I love fall, I just can't seem to let go of the summer. As I was was getting dressed this morning, I looked through my closet to see what I had. I came across this wrap dress that I got from a thrift store a couple months ago. I've worn it before, but haven't posted about it. And I thought what the hell, it's comfortable and I have a rather long day ahead of me.
I typically hate to follow "plus size fashion rules" but this one, wrap dresses are super flattering, I definitely stick to from time to time. You can never go wrong with wrap dresses. There are so many ways to wear them, and are definitely transitional pieces that every girl should own.

O' Halloween
Hey Loves,
That time is rapidly approaching. The one day of the year when we're allowed dress up how we feel, and but either a kid again, or a raging "slut" and not get judge for it. okay maybe slut is too harsh of a term, but you know what I mean. Yes I'm talking about Halloween. And my favorite part, besides dressing up, is shopping for a costume.
And for us plus size/curvy/thick women shopping for a good costume, that doesn't consist of wearing a sack can be rather difficult. But have no fear, Sonsi has got you covered. They have 14 different categories to choose from. Check out some of their options below

Model Spotlight; Keisa Hamilton
Hey Loves,
It's that time again, for a new model spotlight. I met this beautiful lady at Chasity's BET rip the runway viewing part. When I saw her, she was just so elegant and statuesque. I've seen her face quite a few places. And I'm so happy she agreed to be this month's model spotlight. Ladies meet Keisa Hamilton.
